Our Philosophy

Austin Dental Careers was founded as a post secondary career school offering entry level training for those who wish to join the dental profession.

Our mission is to provide an affordable alternative to traditional educational programs by emphasizing the useful clinical skills necessary to gain employment as a dental assistant.

We believe that people can be trained in a relatively short period of time by focusing on the essential skills required to become a valuable member of any dental practice.

Our course is developed by practicing Dentists and experienced Dental Assistants working in the dental community every day.

 

About our Dental Assistant Program

This program is designed to prepare students to assist the dentist. Upon graduation, you will be able to carry out a variety of laboratory, clinical and administrative duties. Classes are held on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The graduate receives a certificate and is prepared to become a Registered Dental Assistant.  A Registered Dental Assistant must first pass the Texas State Board of Dental Examiner's Registered Dental Assistant Exam.  Your tuition includes the cost of this exam. It also includes all text books, all supplies and materials, and a CPR license for healthcare workers.

The subjects are covered using class room instruction and practical hands-on training with the equipment, instrumentation and materials used in a state of the art practicing dental office.
